Jorge Rodriguez Gerada was born in Santa Clara, Cuba on February 5, 1966. His family immigrated to the US in 1970 and relocated to New Jersey.
In 2002 he started working on the Identity Series: Gigantic charcoal portraits of anonymous people scale the walls of buildings in different cities around the world. These drawings question the controls imposed on public space, the role models that represent us and the type of events that are guarded by the collective memory.

Rodriguez-Gerada now lives between New York City and Barcelona.

Véronique Serfass was born in 1964 in the Ivory Coast to French expatriate parents. She remains marked by her upbringing in Africa, especially by the sense of being dislocated, of not belonging to any specific class or culture.
She traveled to France to complete her final degree, carried on studying graphics and held a number of unsatisfying jobs in communication, advertising and teaching. A two-year journey in Cameroon provoked a significant change within her. In 2003 she decided to pursue a new focus, artistic creation, and moved to Barcelona to achieve this aim.

The Creueta del Coll is an urban oasis, home to a large lake, a small island with palm trees, fountains, table tennis, picnic area and children’s games. In the summer, the lake is transformed into a large, public swimming pool. Although typically dry and sandy, the park also fosters leafy vegetation and wooded and grass areas. Visitors can rest in the shade of acacias, pine and palm trees. There is also a smaller pond in the park. Take the green metro line to Vallcarca and find the park at Passeig Mare de Déu del Coll 77. Bus 28,87 y 92

General admission is €4.40, but for those between three and 25 years of age there are discounted entrance fees between 75 cents and €3.30. Parc Creueta del Coll is open from June 20th to September 14th, every day except for Sunday, from 10am to 8pm.

Although the artistic career of Eva Hesse (1936–1970) lasted only ten years, her production has had a lasting influence on the history of art in the second half of the twentieth century. Through her small works, or ‘Studioworks’, this exhibition shows Eva Hesse’s contribution to sculpture’s radical transformation at a time when the nature of the artistic object itself was being questioned.

Ple de Riure is the International Comic Theatre Festival of El Masnou. It is held annually in this town on the Costa del Maresme coast.

This event sees the performance of internationally recognised montages, each one with its own particular vision of humour. The streets and squares of this town (Barcelona province) are filled with colour by the shows and street entertainment. Mime, jugglers, gestural theatre and circus are just some of the representations you can enjoy over these days.

Pipilotti Rist has never ceased to amaze us with inquiries and provoke us into artistic and aesthetic psychic landscapes, landscapes that penetrate the deeper layers of personal conscience and the collective consciousness, often midway between the two in a powerful and elusive . Rist audiovisual facilities open a window into a strange world that can range from colorful and sensual fluidity Sip My Ocean (1996) To the Envelopes interactions with architectural spaces of Homo Sapiens Sapiens, projected onto the roof of the church of San Stae in Venice (2005). But his work also is striking and daring when it uses its body as an expressive vehicle to make categorical statements on representations and perceptions of femininity, for example in the famous video of their early'm Not The Girl Who Misses Much ( 1986) or in the loop of Times Square Open My Glade, 2000.

Pipilotti Rist has exhibited her works in museums around the world, including the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the MoMA in New York and more recently in the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam and the Kiasma Museum in Helsinki that submitted the sample Elixir .

One of the most impressive things about London for me has always the way the people take over the streets, the squares or the parks for concerts, shows, speeches and theatre. And not only in London, also in Brighton, Oxford, Dublin… for many decades and always well organised – as if it would be any other way in Britain. Parking Shakespeare is the Catalan company that started their own street performances last summer with Shakespeare in the park of Estació del Nord. This summer they’re back with another English classic for all, with no stage, lighting or speakers, just the actors, the words and the natural charms of the circular Barcelona park.
